Our own private beach

We've been living in our house for several months now but it seems like there's always more to discover in our neighborhood.  We just found private beach access a block away!  

You climb down the hill and over the train tracks and you've got your own little oasis.  But watch out for the tide when it comes in!  If you get trapped you've got to climb back up over the rocks.

The sand is covered in beach glass, crab shells, and seaweed.

Yesterday the water was full of sailboats.  Seemed like a cold, blustery day for sailing!

A new skirt

The other day I embroidered this skirt and I think it turned out pretty well!
